JKT48 (Jakarta48)

JKT48 (Short of Jakarta48) is an Indonesian idol group whose name is derived from its base city of Jakarta and the sister Japanese Idol group AKB48. Formed in 2011, it is the first AKB48 sister group outside of Japan and adopts the concept of "idols you can meet". Fans can attend daily performances at the group's theater, which was built as a close replica to the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara. Producer Yasushi Akimoto decided to bring the AKB48 concept to Indonesia because the group had begun to develop a fan base in the country. Indonesia's growing economy was seen as a potential market by many Japanese companies, and Akimoto established a partnership with these businesses and the country's largest media conglomerate Global Mediacom (MNC Media), the southeast Asia's largest and most integrated media group to replicate the AKB48 business model.

MEMBER : 

JKT48 has 91 original member from 1st Generation until 3rd Generation and split into 3 team, there are Team J, Team KIII, and Team Trainee. Melody Nurramdhani Laksani from Team J as JKT48 Captain.

Team J : 

Team J contains 20 member, Team J formed from 16 member from JKT48 1st Generation, 3 member from JKT48 2nd Generation and 1 transferred member from AKB48. The Team J Captain is Devi Kinal Putri.

Team KIII :

Team KIII contains 21 member, Team KIII formed from 20 member JKT48 2nd Generation. The Team KIII Captain is Shinta Naomi

Team Trainee : 

Team Trainee contains 31 member  from JKT48 3rd Generation.

Overseas Transfer :

On Februari 2014, Chikano Rina from AKB48 Team K was transfer to JKT48 as full member. Chikano Rina still in unknown team. On "Gingham Check Launching Concert", June 11, 2014. Team for Chikano Rina has been announced and she's get position in Team KIII.

THEATER :

Theatre is an exclusively theater for JKT48 performances. The theater located on the 4th floor Mall fX Lifestyle X'nter, Jakarta. The theater opened on 8 September 2012 with performing "Pajama Drive" setlist which starts at 14.00. A total of 16 songs sung by JKT48 member including the encore. At a press conference after the completion of the show, two members of AKB48, Aki Takajo and Haruka Nakagawa appeared on stage to introduce themselves to the Indonesian. The arrival of the two is meant as a surprise at the inauguration of the theater and did not appear in the show that day. Both of them came for the first time in Jakarta after the announcement ditransfernya they become members of JKT48.
